‘Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope’ Screening
Blue Skies Initiative continues to screen and offer facilitated discussions of the movie ‘Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope’.
This 1-hour documentary film is about the impact of childhood trauma. The findings of the Adverse Childhood Effects study, published in 1998, have revealed the most important public health findings of a generation.
Most of us working in our local communities come across the effects of ACEs every day in our work. It is hoped that through these screenings we can think about ways that we, in our roles, can be that ‘one good adult’ for the children and families we work with. While the movie focus is on ACEs it is also a movie of HOPE.
Screenings are available to Early Years Professionals, National schools and secondary schools in the Clondalkin and Adamstown area.
During the restrictions we are screening this virtually.
